CCIHP tại Hội nghị thường niên lần thứ 2 về giám sát đánh giá của USAID tại Hà Nội

In the symposium, CCIHP had two poster presentations on maternal health care and the use of information technology (IT) on monitoring and evaluation (M&E). The two presentations were research results of two projects collaborated with Health Bridge Vietnam (HBV) and PATH.

 The first presentation was the result of a study in collaboration with HBV on maternal care of 8 ethnic minorities in the North-West mountainous area in Son La in 2016. The presentation used both quantitative and qualitative data, taken from a household survey and a need assessment conducted by CCIHP and HBV. The presentation showed a high rate of unsafe delivery in minor ethnicities. It was the results of poor knowledge of danger-signs of pregnancy and home delivery; poor health services including maternal, newborn and child care education; and poor accessibility and low use of health facility.

The second presentation was on the use of Kobo Toolbox, a cloud-based software, in M&E activities of the Healthy markets collaborated with PATH. The presentation showed the procedure of using Kobo Toolbox, its advantages in collecting and managing data and our experiences in using the software. In recent years, CCIHP have used various modern tools, including Kobo Toolbox, for data collection and management. The event was hosted by USAID/Vietnam in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The symposium featured key representatives from the Government of Vietnam, international donors, and civil society organizations in Vietnam
